C3 glomerulopathy includes C3 glomerulonephritis (C3GN) and dense deposit disease (DDD). Each year there are 1 to 2 people per million of the UK population who have C3 glomerulopathy. The outlook for the kidneys of these people (‘renal prognosis’) is poor.
