Eighty-one characters were selected and analysed cladistically. The resulting trees confirm the sister group relationship of Anacaenini and Laccobiini. WebPhylogenetic studies based on morphological characters suggest that in Hydrophilidae, specifically in Hydrophilini, the body size is related to the group evolution.
