WebWe started at the campground and hiked down. First of all, the trail is VERY steep. It is non-stop slopes, so trekking poles would be beneficial. There is pretty much zero shade the entire hike. The vast majority of the trail winds through scrubland and rangeland for cattle, so there are cow patties absolutely everywhere.
